Eating disorder dietitian in College Park and Howard County Maryland
Hi! I’m Alex Raymond. I am co-founder of Courage to Nourish. Whether you’re looking for individual nutrition counseling, dietitian supervision, or a community resource, I’m here to support you.
Let me tell you a little about me! I’m a registered dietitian nutritionist in private practice and have been for the past four years. I serve clients all across the US with office locations in College Park and Columbia, Maryland. My specialty is eating disorder recovery, disordered eating recovery and supporting those who are ready to break out of the dieting cycle and heal their relationship with food and body. I have experience working with individuals of all ages, gender identities, and in varying stages of their recovery.
I have a special place in my heart for supporting individuals in college in their recovery. I offer individual nutrition counseling and a nutrition group about finding food peace while navigating college. Send me an email to learn more about how I might be able to help! I work out of our College Park office, which is walking distance from University of Maryland.
I absolutely love my job, which includes supporting my clients in finding food freedom, finding appreciation & respect for their bodies and a life worth living outside their eating disorders. I am a proud and passionate anti-diet dietitian and work with my clients through a Health At Every Size © and intuitive eating framework.
To be the best support I can toward my clients, I’m sure to get to know each of them as an individual to tailor my nutrition counseling support. I value collaborating with treatment team members so I can assure the best of care to each of my clients. Clients often feel at ease with my warmhearted, yet fun-loving, personality. Let’s work together!
Lastly, I offer supervision for dietitians who are interested in starting eating disorder work and would like to build confidence in their skills. I have a passion for helping newer dietitians and dietetic interns in finding their voice and feeling more confident in their abilities. Visit our page on supervision to learn more.
