We align 100% with Health At Every Size and Intuitive Eating
As eating disorder registered dietitians and nutritionists, we align 100% with HAES and Intuitive eating. This means we focus on supporting our clients to learn how to gain trust in their bodies to honor hunger, fullness, cravings, and much more. We believe everyone is born an intuitive eater. Toddlers exude joy when they eat. They take risks with food, have no problem making a mess, find pleasure in trying to feed others, and always seem to know exactly how much they want to eat at any given time. Somewhere along the way, we lose that trust and joy in food. This is in large part due to diet culture – our society that is obsessed with dieting and thinness. At Courage to Nourish, our goal is support our clients in reconnecting to their bodies to live a full and authentic life without food fears holding them back.
We are certified eating disorder registered dietitians
Both Alex Raymond and Bobbi Boteler are Certified Eating Disorder Registered Dietitians and Approved Supervisors. This means they have completed over 2500 supervised hours working with eating disorders and have continued their knowledge by completing “continuing education units.” Alex and Bobbi are humbled to work with clients in recovery and could not imagine choosing another career path. It warms their heart knowing they are having a positive impact on someone cultivating a healthier relationship with food and with themselves.
While the rest of the Courage to Nourish dietitians do not have the CEDRD certification, they receive weekly supervision with Bobbi and Alex and are currently on the path to receive the certification. Each of the dietitians have extensive knowledge in eating disorder recovery nutrition, intuitive eating, and Health at Every Size.
What clients are saying
“I have been a client of Bobbi’s for the last two years. Bobbi has been integral to my recovery from an eating disorder and an abusive relationship with exercise, both of which I struggled with during high school and college. Bobbi’s expertise in her field and compassion for her clients are unparalleled. With Bobbi’s caring guidance, I have healed my broken relationships with food and exercise. This has allowed me to enjoy time with those closest to me and to make lasting memories in a way I could not before. I am so, so grateful for Bobbi and her wisdom! If someone is struggling with an unhealthy relationship with food, exercise, or body image, Bobbi is the dietician to see. She is, without a doubt, the best!”
“Courage to Nourish helped me recover after a long battle with both of my eating disorders. Dealing with recovery while being a full time college student was really difficult for me, so receiving the treatment I needed from Courage to Nourish helped me fully recover and become myself again.”
