Early assessment and treatment for eating disorders is extremely important for clients looking to recover from an eating disorder. As providers, we are often not trained in eating disorder treatment, leaving us to seek outside support. We created a list of eating disorder resources for providers. Eating Disorder Screening Tool for Therapists
Use this tool with clients in a session to quickly screen for an eating disorder. Therapists can absolutely ask questions about food and body image to assess whether a client may need to see a dietitian to improve and discuss their relationship with food.
