Eating disorder dietitian in College Park and Columbia, Maryland
Hi! I am Emilee! I am glad you are here. I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist who loves helping people develop healthier relationships with food and movement. I am dedicated to breaking diet culture and helping you enjoy life to the fullest. I want to share a little bit about me.
I currently live in Virginia with my Fiancé and bulldog, Stella. I am a passionate dog mom. I love traveling, trying new foods, and spending time with friends and family. My desire to purse nutrition branches from developing my own healthy relationship with food and breaking free from diet culture. I also have a love for research and evidenced based practice.
I have worked in both intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization levels of care where I have worked one on one with clients from various backgrounds and cultures. I love helping client’s tune into their bodies and help them re-learn intuitive eating.
I specialize in binge eating disorder recovery where I work from a Health At Every Size © and Intuitive Eating lens. My own personal experience with weight stigma allows me to help clients find their voice in order to receive fair and respectful healthcare.
I also enjoy helping client’s navigate joyful movement and help them feel more connected with their body. I believe the body works as a whole – mentally, physically, and emotionally. I am able to help client’s determine what appropriate movement may look like and how nutrition can support that.
When seeing clients, I tailor each session to their individualized needs and goals. Clients know their bodies best. I take time to listen and learn so I know how to best support them. I see our sessions as collaborative and seek to work together as a team.
I primarily see clients virtually and my in person availability is limited at this time. I also offer convenient Saturday hours. Looking forward to connecting!
